This course is designed for backcountry leaders who have previously taken an AvRec Level 2 course and wish to refresh their skills and knowledge. The course will spend a full day working advanced rescue skills as well as recapping concepts previously learnt. It is primarily an on snow course with minimum morning classroom inputs. We will seek to ski a lot of complex off piste terrain on this course recapping and honing practical on snow avalanche skills. As with any skill set, avalanche knowledge is a a degradable skill if not practiced regularly. The A3 recommend that you refresh your skills every 3 years.

The course requires ski touring / split boarding equipment.
